What can I say, it was a tough week. And yet the world just keeps on turning. One thing I can say for sure is that I know this church is true.
I was asked to speak in Church yesterday, they didn't give me a topic they just asked me to speak about how I feel about the gospel. I decided to talk about how I lost my faith and gained it back in the few years before my mission, I revolved it around three scriptures in the Book of Mormon that saved my life. 2 Nephi 2:27, Mosiah 4:29 and 1 Nephi 11:17. It was a difficult thing for me to speak about because it was something I've held very personal and kept mostly to myself. A couple of people in the congregation came to me afterwords and asked it I would repeat the same things to their sons. If I actually get the chance, nothing would make me happier.
